HMD has launched its new budget smartphone, the HMD Arc 2,
in Thailand. It is the successor to the HMD Arc released last year. While the
design and most specifications remain unchanged, the new model features an
updated processor. The phone comes with Android 14 Go Edition, a 5,000mAh
battery, and a 13MP rear camera. Currently, the company has not provided
details regarding a global or Indian launch.
The HMD Arc 2 has been introduced (via Thaimobilecenter) in
Dark Blue and Golden Beige color options. Sales in Thailand will begin on July
20. The 4GB + 64GB configuration is priced at 2,290 Thai Baht (approximately
₹6,500), while the 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at 2,990 Thai Baht
(approximately ₹8,500). The company has not yet clarified when the HMD Arc 2
will be launched in other countries.
The HMD Arc 2 features a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD display that
supports a 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs on Android 14 Go Edition, an
operating system designed for entry-level devices.
For performance, it is powered by the Unisoc T603 processor,
replacing the Unisoc SC9863A found in the previous model. The phone offers 4GB
of RAM along with storage options of 64GB and 128GB. Storage can also be
expanded via a microSD card if needed.
For photography, the HMD Arc 2 is equipped with a single
13MP rear camera. It also features a 5MP front camera for selfies and video
calling, housed within a waterdrop notch. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh
battery that supports 10W charging. Additionally, the device features a USB
Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
