Timex has introduced the new Deepwater Meridian 300 Titanium
HEV Automatic watch. This is the company's latest mechanical timepiece,
designed specifically for swimming. As the name suggests, it is capable of
functioning in deep water; it boasts robust water resistance and can withstand
the pressure found at depths of up to 300 meters. It features a 44mm dial, and
its case is constructed from Grade 5 titanium. Measuring 15mm in thickness and
51mm in length, it is described as being exceptionally strong yet lightweight.

Timex has currently launched the Deepwater Meridian 300
Titanium HEV Automatic in the US market. The watch is priced at $999
(approximately ₹95,000) and is listed on the company's official website.
Timex Deepwater Meridian 300 Titanium Watch Features
The Timex Deepwater Meridian 300 has been designed
specifically for swimming. It comes with a 44mm dial and a case made of Grade 5
titanium. It measures 15mm in thickness and 51mm in length; the use of titanium
makes it remarkably lightweight. The case features a matte finish, while the
dial is protected by sapphire crystal and includes an anti-reflective coating.
Water resistance is the watch's standout feature. It is
engineered to function at depths of up to 300 meters and incorporates standard
dive hardware, including a screw-down crown, a crown guard, and a screw-down
case back. It also features an automatic helium escape valve (HEV) positioned
at the 10 o'clock mark. During saturation diving, helium gas can accumulate
inside the watch case; the HEV allows this gas to escape safely during
decompression, preventing internal pressure from damaging the crystal.
The watch is powered by the Miyota 8215 automatic movement.
This is a standard 21-jewel Japanese caliber that winds itself through the
movement of the wearer's wrist and offers a maximum power reserve of 40 hours.
If the watch remains stationary for more than 40 hours, it can be manually
wound using the crown.
The company has produced two versions of the watch. One
features a black dial with luminous hour markers, while the other comes with a
green dial coated in Japanese Nemoto LumiNova SG2200 across its entire surface
for visibility in low-light conditions. Both models come with a 20mm black
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) strap. HNBR was chosen for its
resistance to UV rays, heat, and chemicals. Overall, this watch is designed to
withstand challenging conditions.
