• Newsletter: your email address, used solely to send the briefing you subscribed to. Unsubscribe links are in every email.
• Author accounts: the profile information you provide when applying or maintaining a profile.
• Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) used for security and aggregate analytics.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

We also serve directly-sold banner ads. For these we count impressions and clicks in aggregate; no personal profile is built.

Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt/argon2). Access to personal data is limited to site administrators.
