Chinese Infinix launches Zero 8i in India, learn price

The Chinese company Infinix, which normally sells mid-range smartphones in India, has launched a new smartphone in India. This phone has been named Zero 8i.

This Chinese company has launched this phone exclusively on Flipkart. The company’s CEO has said that it will be a multi-tasking device and its design is inspired by Louvre, the largest art museum in Paris.

The Infinix Zero 8i has four rear cameras. The rear camera’s module is of a different shape. Some people may like this module, while some may find it ugly.

The company has made big claims about gaming. The price of this smartphone has been launched for Rs 14,999. Its only variant has been launched in which 8GB RAM has been given. The internal memory of this phone is 128GB.

The Infinix Zero 8i has a 6.85-inch full HD display and a five-hole design for the front camera. This phone has the support of 90Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on Android 10 based XOS 7 skin.

Its sale starts on December 9 and it can be purchased in Silver Diamond and Black Diamond colour variants. This smartphone has a MediaTekHelio G90T processor.

The Infinix Zero 8i features a diamond-shaped camera module with four rear cameras. The primary lens is 48 megapixels. The second is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There is a third sensor of 2 megapixels, while AI based is the fourth sensor.

The Infinix Zero 8i has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies. Its battery is 5,000mAh and it has support for fast charging.

Infinix comes under the Chinese company Transsion Holding. Tecno, another company under Transsion Holdings, was accused of having pre-installed malware in its smartphone. However, the company later investigated it and issued a security patch.

A report came in which claimed that Tecno, a company under Transsion Holdings, is subscribing to paid service without the consent of pre-installed xHelper and Triada users.

This was the report of Buzzfeed wherein the investigation by Secure D was told about this issue. Transsion Holdings also confirmed that the Triada and xHelper malware were in Tecno W2 smartphones. However, the company blamed the vendor and supply chain for this and the issue was later rectified.

The company, though said then that this issue of Triada came in March 2018, but it was later fixed in 2018 through the OTA update. It is significant that this issue was in the African market.

ITel also comes under Transsion Holdings which is active in the market of most feature phones in India.
