Redmi has launched the 'Refreshed Edition' of its Redmi Note
17 Pro smartphone in China. For this new variant, the company has introduced
two new color options and adjusted the RAM and storage configurations. However,
there have been no changes to the phone's processor, camera, or battery. The
new variant is available in Sand Orange and Energetic Green, alongside the
existing Black color option.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Refreshed Edition has been introduced
in China in three configurations. The variant with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of
storage is priced at 1,599 Chinese Yuan (approximately ₹22,800). The model with
8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is available at the same price point.
Meanwhile, the variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at
1,699 Chinese Yuan (approximately ₹24,200). An introductory discount of 200
Yuan is also being offered on select variants during the launch in China.
Sand Orange and Energetic Green colors have been added to
the new Redmi Note 17 Pro variant; a Black color option is also available.
While the older model offered White, Sky Blue, and Nebula Purple colors, these
are not included in the listing for the new variant.
The rest of the phone's features remain identical to the
older model. It sports a 6.83-inch OLED display that supports 1.5K resolution
and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display offers a peak brightness of up
to 3,500 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is powered
by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. The phone features a 9,000mAh battery
that supports 67W wired fast charging. For photography, it comes with a 50MP
main rear camera. The company has not upgraded the processor, battery, or
camera hardware in this new variant.
Durability has also been a focus for the Redmi Note 17 Pro.
The phone holds IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, indicating protection
against dust and water under various conditions. Additionally, the display has
received 5-star drop resistance certification from SGS and CQC. The phone has
also been certified by TÜV SÜD following 72 hours of water resistance testing.
