South Korean device manufacturer Samsung has launched its
new flagship smartwatch. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 was unveiled at the
company's Galaxy Unpacked event. Alongside the new foldable smartphones, the
Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Glasses were also launched at this event. The Samsung
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 features a squircle-shaped dial.

The smartwatch is available in a single 47mm dial size with
Bluetooth + LTE connectivity, priced at $699.99. Sales of the new smartwatch
will take place via Samsung's online store in select international markets. The
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be available with a choice of bands,
including Marine, PeakForm, Trail, Sports, Misty, and Fabric options. Color
choices include Titanium Grey and Titanium Silver.

The smartwatch runs on OneUI 9, based on Wear OS 7, and is
compatible with devices running Android 13 or newer versions. It features a
1.52-inch (498 x 498 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness of
5,000 nits and Sapphire Crystal protection. It is powered by Qualcomm's
Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 comes with 2GB
of RAM and 64GB of storage. It includes a BioActive sensor that enables
continuous health and fitness tracking for biometric data. The watch also
features a sleep apnea function, which provides information regarding breathing
interruptions during sleep. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is equipped with
sensors such as a bio-signal sensor, electrical heart sensor, temperature
sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, and light sensor. For health
tracking, it offers heart rate monitoring, blood-oxygen level tracking, and
sleep tracking. Additionally, it provides alerts for loud environments. The
smartwatch features an 800 mAh battery that supports WPC-based wireless
charging. Connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS. It
measures 47.4 x 47.1 x 10.7 mm and weighs approximately 61.5 grams.
