Chinese handset maker Redmi has launched a new smartphone.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It features
a dedicated D2 AI chip for gaming and graphics. The device sports a 6.83-inch
AMOLED 1.5K display. Its rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Light Hunter
800 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, while the front houses
a 20-megapixel camera. It succeeds the Redmi K80 Ultra, which was introduced
last year.
Redmi K90 Ultra Price
Launched in China, the smartphone is priced at CNY 2,799
(approx. ₹39,000) for both the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB + 256GB
variants. The 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (approx. ₹46,000),
and the 16GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 3,499 (approx. ₹48,800). It is available
in Blue, Silver, and Black color options.
Redmi K90 Ultra Specifications and Features
This dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED 1.5K
(1,280 × 2,772 pixels) display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, a touch
sampling rate of 480Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It is powered by
an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with an Adreno GPU. The device
includes a D2 AI gaming graphics chip to enhance resolution and frame rates
during gaming. It also features an active cooling fan to manage heat. The Redmi
K90 Ultra features a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 primary camera in its rear
camera setup, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It sports a
20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity
options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, and NavIC. Sensors on the
smartphone include an e-compass, accelerometer, flicker sensor, and gyroscope.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is equipped with an 8,550 mAh battery that supports 100W
wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The smartphone measures 162.91
× 77.93 × 8.18 mm and weighs approximately 227 grams.
