Microsoft has launched new Surface and Surface Pro laptops. The company has introduced the 8th edition of the Surface and the 12th edition of the Surface Pro. These new laptops utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 architecture, featuring either the 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus or the 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip. The 13.8-inch Microsoft Surface model is priced at $1,599 (approximately ₹1,51,000), while the 15-inch model costs $1,699 (approximately ₹1,60,000). They are available in Platinum, Black, Dune, and Jade Green color options. The 13-inch Surface Pro (12th Edition) is priced at $1,499 (approximately ₹1,41,000). Sales begin on June 16.

Microsoft Surface and Surface Pro Features

Microsoft has introduced the Surface laptop in two sizes. One features a 13.8-inch screen with a 120Hz display; it is equipped with an LCD panel offering a pixel density of 201 PPI. The laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with a claimed battery life of 20 hours. The 15-inch Surface laptop offers a pixel density of 262 PPI. Both models include two USB-C/USB4 ports and one USB-A port.

The 13-inch Surface Pro 12 features an OLED display with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. The base model of the Surface Pro comes with 256 GB of storage. It is a 2-in-1 device from the company that can be used as both a laptop and a tablet.

The company claims that the new laptop offers 58 percent faster graphics performance, while the Pro model boasts a 53% improvement in speed. The 13.8-inch laptop offers a battery life of 20 hours, whereas the Pro model is rated for 15.5 hours. Both laptops are powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus chip. The Surface laptop also features a haptic trackpad.
