Huawei MatePad 12 X (2025) Display and Design
The centrepiece of the MatePad 12 X (2025) is its 12-inch 2.8K PaperMate LCD display with a resolution of 1840 × 2800 pixels. Running at up to 144Hz, the screen delivers smooth scrolling and fluid animations whether you're browsing articles or sketching with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro. Peak brightness reaches 1,000 nits, making it usable even in direct sunlight, and the panel carries triple TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue-light emission and flicker reduction. The PaperMate technology further reduces glare and reflections, mimicking the visual comfort of reading on paper.
Thermal Management
To keep sustained performance in check, Huawei has engineered a PCBA-level 3D dispensing system combined with a 3D vapor cooling chamber. This dual-layer thermal solution prevents throttling during extended workloads such as video editing or multitasking across multiple windows.
Huawei MatePad 12 X (2025) Performance and Software
Under the hood, the tablet is driven by an octa-core Kirin T92B processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. The device runs HarmonyOS 4.3, Huawei's own operating system, which supports a one-touch split-screen feature for effortless multitasking. Six stereo speakers deliver immersive audio for media consumption, and compatibility with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro makes the MatePad 12 X a capable tool for note-taking and digital art.
Camera Setup
On the imaging front, the Huawei MatePad 12 X (2025) features a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture — a headline spec that is unusually generous for a tablet. It is paired with an 8-megapixel front camera (f/2.2 aperture) designed for sharp video calls and selfies. Both cameras support video recording up to 1080p resolution, covering the core use cases of virtual meetings and content capture.
Battery and Charging
The MatePad 12 X (2025) packs a large 10,100mAh battery engineered for all-day — and potentially multi-day — usage. When it does need a top-up, 66W wired fast charging gets you back to a full charge quickly, minimising downtime during busy work sessions.
Connectivity
Connectivity is comprehensive: the tablet supports Wi-Fi 7 for next-generation wireless speeds, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC for contactless interactions, OTG support, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. For more Huawei devices and accessories, explore our Huawei brand page.
