Redmi A5 smartphone launched with 5200mAh battery, 32MP camera, know price and specifications

Redmi A5 (4G) has been launched in Indonesia. The smartphone was recently launched in Bangladesh. The new smartphone works on the Unisoc T7250 processor, which is an octa-core chipset built on a 12 nm processor. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Redmi A5 gets a 5,200mAh battery with 15W charging. The phone can be charged with a Type-C port. It includes a single rear camera and gets a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.

Redmi A5 has been introduced in Indonesia in a single 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It is priced at IDR 1,199,000 (about Rs 6,200). The phone gets Lake Green, Sandy Gold and Midnight Black color options. The Redmi A5 is available for purchase on the Xiaomi Indonesia e-store and offline channels.

The Redmi A5 features a 6.88-inch display with 1640 x 720 pixels resolution, which supports 260ppi pixel density and refresh rate up to 120Hz. The peak brightness level of the panel is 450 nits. The Redmi A5 runs on the Unisoc T7250, formerly known as the Unisoc T616. The processor is built on a 12 nm process. This chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The company says that the RAM can be expanded by another 4GB virtually with the help of storage. A dedicated microSD slot has also been included for storage expansion.

The Redmi A5 has an 8-megapixel front camera and a 32-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The smartphone runs on Android 15 (Go Edition). It packs a 5,200mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports AI facial recognition. It measures 171.7 x 77.8 x 8.26 mm and weighs 193 grams.
