Google Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatch launched, will take care of both children’s entertainment and safety
Google’s subsidiary Fitbit has introduced Google Fitbit Ace LTE, a new smartwatch specially designed for children. The watch is designed to meet the needs of children above 7 years of age, promote physical activity through interactive games, and ensure safety with real-time location.
Google Fitbit Ace LTE Price
The price of Google Fitbit Ace LTE is $229.95 (approximately Rs 19,181). It is currently available for pre-order on Google Store and Amazon, with availability starting from June 5. The watch comes in two color options, bundled with different themed bands like Spicy and Mild.
The Fitbit Ace LTE requires a Fitbit Ace Pass membership for features such as cellular connectivity (enabling calling, messaging, and location sharing), Fitbit Arcade access with the games library, and software updates with new content. Fitbit Ace Pass is available to customers for a monthly charge of $9.99 (roughly Rs. 833.34) or an annual subscription of $119.99 (roughly Rs. 10,009), which also includes a free collectible band.
Google Fitbit Ace LTE Specifications
The Google Fitbit Ace LTE features a 41.04 x 44.89 mm OLED display with a resolution of 333 ppi, which supports Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The body of the watch is made of stainless steel and recycled plastic material. Its weight is approximately 28.03 grams.
Fitbit Ace LTE is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 processor. It works on Wear OS, although it lacks support for Google Play Store and third-party applications. The watch has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It is equipped with a 328mAh battery which supports fast charging. It gets 60 percent charged in just 30 minutes and fully charged in about 70 minutes.
