A new flip smartphone launched with 50MP camera, will Samsung face problems?
The popularity of foldables and flip phones is gradually increasing and in view of this, many smartphone companies are entering this category. In this episode, a new flip phone was launched in the market. Actually, Nubia, popular for its powerful gaming smartphones, has introduced its first flip phone. Nubia Flip 5G was announced at MWC 2024. The device is similar to the ZTE Libero Flip that was launched in Japan last week. Talking about its features, it has Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, 50MP main camera and 6.9-inch OLED screen. It is believed that due to this, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 may face difficulty, because the price of Nubia Flip 5G is lower.

Its price is confirmed to start at $599 (approximately Rs 49,652), due to which it can top the list of most affordable folding phones in the market. Nubia confirmed that it will be offered in black and gold colors.

The Flip 5G sports a 6.9-inch foldable OLED display with 1,188 x 2,790px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The main panel is connected to a circular 1.43-inch cover screen with 466 x 466px resolution.
The secondary panel works as a camera viewfinder for taking selfies along with the 50MP main camera and can also be used to take calls, control media playback, show weather information, and other simple functions.
Nubia features a dual-rail suspended hinge in its Flip 5G that can withstand more than 200,000 unfolds. The Flip 5G has a 50MP main camera on the back and a 2MP depth sensor. The device also features a 16MP front-facing camera and a 4,310 mAh battery with 33W charging support.
