The Vivo Y30 6GB RAM variant looks set to arrive in India soon, giving buyers a higher-memory option of a phone that first launched in the country in July 2020. Until now the Y30 was sold only in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. A fresh promotional poster suggests that is about to change.
Vivo Y30 6GB RAM launch hints
The new variant was teased through a promotional poster posted on Facebook by Jerome Chen, and there is no question about its authenticity. The poster points clearly to an India launch in the near future for the upgraded model.
Like the existing model, the higher-memory edition will be offered in two finishes:
- Dazzle Blue
- Emerald Black
Apart from the jump in RAM, the rest of the package mirrors the original Vivo Y30. This variant pairs 6GB of RAM with 128GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded further using a microSD card.
Vivo Y30 specifications
The Y30 features a 6.47-inch full HD+ panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a single hole-punch cutout on the left side. Under the hood sits an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, and the handset runs Android 10-based Funtouch OS.
Power comes from a 5000mAh battery, charged through a USB 2.0 port. On the back you get a quad-camera setup, while a fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear of the device.
