Honor has launched the Honor Play 11, the latest smartphone
in its Play series, in China. The phone comes equipped with a massive 8,300mAh
battery, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, and an IP69K rating. It features a
6.872-inch TFT LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device
includes a 50MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and runs on MagicOS 10.0 based
on Android 16. Additionally, the Honor Play 11 features a dedicated AI button
that allows users to access various AI functions—such as dismissing pop-up
windows—with a single click.
The starting price for the Honor Play 11 in China is 1,399
Yuan (approximately ₹20,000) for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of
storage. The model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at 1,449 Yuan
(approximately ₹20,600), while the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage
costs 1,749 Yuan (approximately ₹25,000). The phone is available in Desert
Gold, Mist Purple, Meteor Silver, and Phantom Black color options. Honor has
not yet announced any details regarding an international or Indian launch.
The Honor Play 11 sports a 6.872-inch TFT LCD panel with a
resolution of 1592 x 720 pixels and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The
display's peak brightness reaches up to 1,020 nits in HBM mode. It also includes
features such as DC Dimming and Eye Comfort Mode. The company has also
incorporated a "Natural Light" display mode. The phone is powered by
the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. It is offered with 6GB and 8GB of
RAM, while storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
In terms of software, the Honor Play 11 runs on MagicOS
10.0, based on Android 16. The phone features a dedicated AI button on the
side; pressing it allows a pop-up window to be dismissed with a single tap.
Additionally, features such as Honor Any Door, remote assistance, and AI
face-swap detection can be accessed via this button.
The Honor Play 11 sports a 50MP primary rear camera with an
f/1.8 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 5MP front
camera. It is equipped with an 8,300mAh battery (rated capacity: 7,900mAh) and
supports 45W wired charging as well as wired reverse charging.
The phone's body has been designed with durability in mind.
The Honor Play 11 holds IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, providing protection against
dust and water. According to Honor, the phone has also received the SGS Gold
Label five-star certification for drop and compression resistance. Company lab
tests have verified its resilience against drops from heights of up to 2.5
meters. However, Honor has clarified that the phone is not a professional
waterproof device and that water resistance may diminish over time.
The Honor Play 11 comes with stereo speakers. It features a
high-volume mode that, according to the company, can boost audio output by up
to 400 percent compared to standard mode. Connectivity options include 5G, dual
Nano-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. For
security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Honor Play 11
weighs 216.5 grams and has a thickness of 8.30mm.
