Chinese handset maker Vivo has launched two smartphones: the
Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z. Both phones share the same design and hardware,
differing only in branding. They are powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
processor. On the rear, both feature a single 50-megapixel camera with
autofocus, while an 8-megapixel camera is provided on the front for selfies and
video calls. Both the front and rear cameras support video recording at up to
1,080p resolution.
Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z Price
These smartphones have been launched in China. The 6GB RAM
and 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,199 (approximately ₹30,900), while
the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs CNY 2,899 (approximately ₹40,700).
They are available in an Obsidian Black color option and are currently being
sold through the company's online store in China.
Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z Specifications and Features
The smartphones feature a 6.75-inch LCD display (1,570 x 720
pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 256 ppi pixel
density, and 83% color gamut coverage. They are powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen
2 processor paired with an Adreno 613 GPU. They run on OriginOS 6, which is
based on Android 16. These smartphones feature a single 50-megapixel rear
camera with support for autofocus and 10x digital zoom. An 8-megapixel camera
is provided on the front for selfies and video calls. Both the front and rear
cameras are capable of recording video at up to 1,080p resolution.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC,
and a USB Type-C port. These smartphones are equipped with dual stereo
speakers. The Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z pack a 7,200 mAh battery that supports 44W
wired fast charging and OTG reverse charging; a side-mounted fingerprint sensor
is provided for security. The devices measure 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39 mm and
weigh approximately 219 grams.
