Chinese handset maker Redmi has launched a new smartphone.
The Redmi 17C features a 6.88-inch display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio
G81 processor. It comes equipped with a 5,160 mAh battery. This model succeeds
the Redmi 15C, which was introduced in September last year. The Redmi 17C
sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for
selfies and video calls. The 6.88-inch display supports a 120 Hz refresh rate,
a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. For security,
it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Redmi 17C Price
Launched in China, the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant is
priced at CNY 799 (approximately ₹11,200), while the 4 GB + 128 GB variant
costs CNY 899 (approximately ₹12,600). The smartphone is available in Blue,
Red, and Black color options. Redmi has not yet announced details regarding the
smartphone's launch in international markets.

1,640 pixels) with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and a
peak brightness of 600 nits. The display has received TÜV Rheinland Low Blue
Light and Flicker-Free certifications. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81
Ultra processor. The Redmi 17C features a single 13-megapixel rear camera. It
has a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS,
BeiDou, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include an
accelerometer, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Redmi
17C is powered by a 5,160 mAh battery that supports 18W wired fast charging. It
includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The smartphone
measures 171.88 × 77.8 × 8.22 mm and weighs approximately 206 grams.
