Xiaomi launches smart glasses with privacy mode and 12 hours of battery backup, know the price and features

Xiaomi has officially announced the MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2. These smart glasses are slimmer and lighter than before, weighing only 27.6g. They have many advanced features like four microphones, privacy mode, 12 hours of battery life and IP54 dust and water resistance. The special thing is that their new foldable frame and quick-release mechanism allows users to easily swap lenses.

Crowdfunding of MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2 will start on Xiaomi Youpin from 10 am on March 26. Under the launch offer, their special price has been kept at 999 yuan (about Rs 11,800). However, the price may increase later. At present, the company has not shared any information regarding its launch in India.

This time Xiaomi has made the frame thinner than before. The temple arms are only 5mm thick, which are 26% to 30% slimmer. The company says that this does not put much pressure on the nose and ears even after wearing the glasses for a long time. The new piano steel ultra-flexible hinge has been developed in 12 months and is claimed not to be damaged even after folding it 15,000 times. The company has given five design options in it, Metal Aviator, Hybrid Browline, Classic Boston, Hybrid Aviator, and Deep-Space Titanium.

Long-pressing on the temple of the glasses turns on one-touch voice recording. The notification light turns on when the recording is active, so that the user’s privacy is maintained. Apart from this, it has voice assistant support, real-time audio broadcasting, and IP54 rating, which protects them from dust and light splashes of water.

MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2 has a new acoustic structure for better audio quality and noise reduction. The four-microphone setup and intelligent algorithms improve the calling experience. It also has a new privacy mode, which reduces sound leakage with the help of inverse sound waves and anti-leakage membrane. This feature can be turned on through the MIJIA Glasses app.

Talking about the battery, they offer up to 12 hours of music playback, 9 hours of calling and 12 days of standby time. It has 2C magnetic charging technology, which gives full charge in 1 hour and 4 hours of backup in just 10 minutes of charging.
