HMD Key, a cheap smartphone launched in the range of 6 thousand rupees, entered the global market
HMD Global, the tech company that makes Nokia smartphones, has introduced a new mobile phone with its own branding. The company has launched HMD Key in the global market which comes in the low budget segment. It cannot be said for sure whether this cheap phone will come to India or not, but its price abroad is only £59 which is close to only Rs 6,279 according to Indian currency.
HMD Key Specifications
Display: HMD Key smartphone has been launched on a 6.52-inch display with 576 x 1280 pixel resolution. This is a screen built on LCD panel which supports 60Hz refresh rate and 460nits brightness.
Design: The dimensions of HMD Key are 166.4 x 76.9 x 8.95mm and weighs 185.4 grams. The company has introduced it with IP52 rating which makes the phone dust and water resistant.
OS: This new HMD mobile has been launched on the Go edition of Android 14. Being Android Go, Google Go apps can be downloaded and installed in it, which saves up to 40% data and works smoothly without interruption even on low RAM and light processor.
Processor: To maintain the performance, the low budget HMD Key smartphone has been given Unisoc’s 9823E quad-core processor. This is Arm Cortex-A53 core which can run at a clock speed of up to 1.4Ghz. It is considered right for light 4G phones.
Memory: According to the information received, the company has currently introduced its new mobile phone in a single memory variant. It has 2GB RAM with which 2GB Virtual RAM is also available. That is, virtual RAM and physical RAM together can provide the power of 4GB RAM to the phone.
Battery: For power backup, HMD Key smartphone has been launched in the market equipped with a 4,000mAh battery. The company claims that this phone can work for 77 hours after full charge. That is, more than 3 days in a single charge! At the same time, 10W charging technology is also available in the phone.
Camera: This low budget mobile phone has a single camera system on both the back and front panels. HMD Key supports 8 megapixel rear camera and has a 5 megapixel front camera.

HMD has currently launched this low budget smartphone in the UK where its price is £59. According to Indian currency, this price is around Rs 6,279. In the United Kingdom, the HMD Key smartphone will be available for sale in Midnight Black and Icy Blue colors. At present, its India launch is doubtful.
