iPad Mini (2024) was launched in the global market including India. The latest edition of the company’s most compact iPad works on the A17 Pro chip. The same processor was included in the iPhone 15 Pro series launched last year. The seventh-generation iPad Mini model is the first update to the mini lineup since 2021 and the company has finally increased the storage of its base model to 128GB. It will also support Apple Intelligence features.
iPad Mini (2024) Price in India, Availability
The base model of iPad Mini (2024) with 128GB storage is priced at Rs 49,900 in India, while the cellular variant is priced at Rs 64,900. At the same time, the 256GB Wi-Fi model is priced at Rs 59,900 and the cellular variant is priced at Rs 74,900. Its 512GB Wi-Fi variant has been launched at Rs 79,900, while the cellular model is priced at Rs 94,900.
Apple says that the iPad Mini (2024) will be sold in Blue, Purple, Space Gray and Starlight color options from October 23. Pre-orders are now live through the company’s website. As part of the company’s ongoing festival sale, customers can avail a discount of Rs 3,000 on purchases made with American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards.

The seventh-generation iPad Mini has an 8.3-inch (1,488×2,266 pixels) Liquid Retina display with a pixel density of 326 ppi and peak brightness of up to 500 nits. The IPS display offers support for the P3 color gamut and works with the Apple Pencil Pro. The new Apple iPad works on the A17 Pro chip. It runs on iPadOS 18 and will provide support for Apple Intelligence features. Apple does not provide information about the RAM available on its tablets and smartphones.
The new iPad Mini (2024) has a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture with autofocus and Smart HDR 4 support. It can record 4K video at 60fps or 1080p slow-motion video at 240fps. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture with Smart HDR 4 and Center Stage support. It can record 1080p videos at 60fps.
You get stereo speakers and two microphones on the iPad Mini (2024). The tablet is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3, while the cellular models support 5G, 4G LTE, and GPS. It comes equipped with the Apple Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The iPad Mini (2024) also includes DisplayPort (up to 4K/60fps) and a USB 3.0 Type-C port.
Apple says the iPad Mini (2024) is equipped with a 19.3Wh Li-Po battery that offers up to 10 hours of web surfing or video playback on Wi-Fi, while the cellular variant can offer up to 9 hours of backup, according to the company. There has been no statement from Apple on the charging speed.
