Xiaomi launched the Mix Fold 2 in China. Three storage variants are available, all paired with 12 GB of RAM. The base 256 GB model is priced at 8,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately ₹1,06,200). The 512 GB variant comes in at 9,999 Yuan (approximately ₹1,18,000). The top-tier 1 TB model carries a price tag of 11,999 Yuan (approximately ₹1,41,600). As of the launch date, Xiaomi has made no announcement regarding an Indian market release for the Mix Fold 2.

The Mix Fold 2 ships with two screens. The cover display is a 6.56-inch E5 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, a 21:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The tall 21:9 aspect ratio makes the cover screen comfortable to use one-handed for tasks like messaging and browsing without unfolding the device. The inner foldable display measures 8.02 inches and uses LTPO 2.0 technology, also refreshing at up to 120Hz, with DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and a higher peak brightness of 1,300 nits, making it well-suited for video content and photo editing. Xiaomi uses its own proprietary Micro Waterdrop Hinge mechanism to keep the fold crease minimal and the overall device thin. The phone weighs 262 grams in total.

Inside, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform — one of the fastest mobile processors available at the time of launch. RAM is 12 GB LPDDR5 across all variants, enabling fast multitasking between apps on both displays. Storage options — 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB — all use the faster UFS 3.1 standard for quicker app loading and file transfers.
