Design and Display
At first glance, the new Galaxy Book Go manages to impress. It is available in Silver color and its keypads are in Black color. USB Type-C, USB 2.0 and Security Slot have been given in its right side while the left side has the facility of USB Type-C, HP / Mic and Micro SD slot. It doesn’t have an HDMI port which disappoints here. Two speakers are found at the bottom of it. Seeing this laptop, you will definitely come across Apple MacBook. Overall, the Galaxy Book Go comes with a great design and solid built quality. Its total weight is 1.38 kg.
It is also equipped with 14.0 inch FHD LED Display (1920 x 1080) which means that your eyes will not get tired and damage while working on it. The hinge of the laptop can be bent up to 180 degrees, due to which the chances of breaking the laptop are less. It has a 42.3Wh battery with support for 25W Type-C charging. The charger will be available in the box itself.
Design and Build Quality
The body of this Samsung laptop is plastic, but it is difficult to understand at first glance. Build quality is good. We had a silver color variant for review, which we liked. This laptop is US Military Standard (MIL-STD-810G) certified i.e. it can easily withstand thermal shocks, vibration and humidity etc. with high temperature. You cannot remove its battery like any ordinary laptop. The design of its hinge is such that when the laptop is opened and turned more than 90 degrees, the laptop lifts slightly from the back. This laptop is quite slim and its total weight is 1.38 kg. So overall we have no complaints regarding the design and build quality.
Performance and Battery Life
The new Galaxy Book Go laptop has a Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 (Kryo 468 Octa-core CPU) processor and has been given Qualcomm Adreno for graphics. This laptop does less on Windows 11 Home. The Qualcomm processor given in it will definitely attract people, which is the processor given in it, it works very well. This laptop starts in a few seconds, as well as shuts it down with the same ag. In this all the apps are easily opened. It is a very smooth laptop and helps in getting your work done faster. This laptop supports Samsung’s ecosystem. You can easily connect Samsung earbuds to it. Apart from this, you can share its screen on Samsung’s tab and easily share content between two Samsung laptops. We did not have any problem with its touch pad.
From normal to multitasking, this laptop does not disappoint, but as you keep using it, you may fall short of the existing 4GB RAM in it. During testing, we found that the battery in it drains easily 9-10 times after full charge. It takes about 3 hours to get fully charged. Whether working or enjoying movies on this laptop, it gives you a good experience. The laptop has 1.5W stereo speakers, which have decent sound. For better sound, the use of headphones will be good. Apart from this, there is no problem in video calls etc.
Result
Overall, Samsung’s new Galaxy Book Go does feel a bit expensive for its price, but its design is really amazing and you are going to love its solid built quality. Its performance is fine, but it would have been fun if it had 6GB RAM instead of 4GB RAM. Its long battery life will win your heart. This can prove to be a good laptop for students
