The Vivo X80 series has officially arrived in India, bringing two flagship-grade smartphones — the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro — packed with Zeiss-tuned optics, a proprietary V1+ imaging chip, and cinematic video capabilities that set them apart from the competition. Both phones go on sale from 25 May via Flipkart and retail stores across the country.
Vivo X80 Series India Price and Availability
Vivo has priced the Vivo X80 series competitively for the flagship segment. The Vivo X80 is available in two variants: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage at ₹54,999 and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage at ₹59,999. The more powerful Vivo X80 Pro comes in a single 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage configuration priced at ₹79,999.
The Vivo X80 is offered in Urban Blue and Cosmic Black, while the X80 Pro is available exclusively in Cosmic Black. Both models can be purchased from Flipkart and authorised retail stores starting 25 May.
Zeiss Cameras and V1+ Imaging Chip Explained
The headline feature of the entire lineup is the Zeiss optical partnership. Both phones benefit from cinematic-style bokeh, cinematic video bokeh, and 360-degree horizontal label stabilisation. A key hardware differentiator is the Vivo V1+ imaging chip, which works alongside the main SoC to deliver AI video enhancement for low-light shooting — a significant upgrade over software-only solutions.
On the Vivo X80, the triple rear camera system consists of a 50 MP primary lens with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide, and a 12 MP portrait lens. The X80 Pro steps things up with a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV primary sensor, a 48 MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide, and an 8 MP portrait lens. Both models carry a 32 MP front camera for selfies.

Connectivity and Software
Both phones in the Vivo X80 series support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/A-GPS, an Infrared Blaster, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Security is handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor on each model. The Vivo X80 runs OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12, while the X80 Pro runs the standard OriginOS skin on the same Android 12 base.
The X80 Pro adds 50W wireless charging to its already-capable 80W wired fast charging — a premium perk that the standard X80 misses out on. The Pro's larger 4,700 mAh cell (versus 4,500 mAh on the X80) also provides a bit of extra endurance despite its heavier 219 g frame.
How the Vivo X80 Series Fits in Vivo's Lineup
The X80 series is the direct successor to the Vivo X70 lineup from 2021, carrying forward the Zeiss collaboration while upgrading to the most powerful chipsets of 2022. The Dimensity 9000 in the X80 is particularly notable as one of TSMC's 4 nm-built processors, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Pro is Qualcomm's flagship silicon.
