The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor is set to power a dedicated edition of the Xiaomi 12S Pro, giving buyers a flagship alternative to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus variant. Evidence of this second variant surfaced on Mi Code and in the IMEI database, pointing to an imminent launch.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Processor Spotted on Mi Code for Xiaomi 12S Pro
According to a report by Xiaomiui, the publication spotted references to a Xiaomi 12S Pro model running the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor directly inside Mi Code. The same publication had previously identified the device in the IMEI database under model number 2207122MC. Digging into that model number revealed the internal codename Dauimer, which researchers linked specifically to the Xiaomi 12S Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition.
This means Xiaomi is preparing at least two processor variants of the 12S Pro:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus edition
- MediaTek Dimensity 9000 edition (codenamed Dauimer, model 2207122MC)
Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed the launch date or pricing for either variant. However, an appearance in Mi Code typically signals that software preparation is well underway, and a launch announcement could come soon.

Display and Design
The Xiaomi 12S Pro is expected to feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. AMOLED technology typically delivers deep blacks and vibrant colours, making it well-suited for a flagship device. An under-display fingerprint sensor is also expected, keeping the front face clean.
Camera System
On the rear, a triple camera array is anticipated: a primary 64MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. Selfies and video calls would be handled by a 16MP front camera. Exact camera tuning details will only be confirmed at launch.
Battery and Charging
A 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support is expected. This charging speed would allow the phone to replenish its battery significantly faster than many competing flagships. The combination of a reasonably sized battery and rapid charging is in line with Xiaomi's recent flagship philosophy.
Software
The device is tipped to ship with Android 12 and MIUI 13 out of the box, Xiaomi's custom skin layered over stock Android.
