OnePlus Nord 2 will be the first phone with Oppo and OnePlus partnership, know what will be special

OnePlus will launch its upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone in India on July 22. With this, the company has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2 will come with Oxygen OS 11 out-of-the-box and will support two major Android updates along with three years of security updates. 

According to a report, the OnePlus Nord 2 will be the first phone to be launched after the Oxygen OS-ColorOS code base merger. OnePlus announced the merger of OxygenOS with Oppo’s ColorOS operating system, as the two companies have started integrating their businesses. Also, OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will be the first phone to feature OxygenOS release v11.3 based on the integrated code base.

OnePlus is all set to launch the OnePlus Nord 5G in India and Europe along with the OnePlus Buds Pro on July 22, and with this some specifications of the phone have also been revealed. Furthermore, a tipster has claimed that the phone will have a 50 MP sensor which is similar to the OnePlus 9 Pro.

OnePlus India has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2 will come out-of-the-box with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. It will also release two major Android updates for the phone which means OnePlus Nord 2 users will be able to enjoy the benefits and features of Android 12 and 13. Along with this, the phone will also get regular security updates for three years.

Earlier this month, OnePlus shared an update to its OxygenOS software maintenance schedule which said that its flagship smartphone (OnePlus 8 series) will receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates. It says that the OnePlus Nord and OnePlus Nord CE will get two years of major Android updates and three years of security updates. OnePlus Nord N series phones will get an Android update and three years of security updates.

OnePlus Nord CE was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 22,999. The same OnePlus Nord costs Rs 24,999. The price of OnePlus Nord 2 can be in this price tag.
