Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 smartphone launched with defense level security
Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy XCover 5 smartphone on Thursday. This rugged smartphone will be available for sale this month. The phone has been introduced at 330 GBP (about Rs 33,500).
Samsung says that the new Galaxy XCover 5 comes with many features that can handle multitasking. The company claims that even after falling from a height of 1.5 meters, the phone will not suffer damage because it comes with a special shock absorption capability. This phone has been given IP68 rating i.e. it will be safe from water and dust. Like other Samsung phones, it has a glove-touch feature, that is, the display can be touched by wearing gloves in the hands.
For security, the company’s Samsung Knox Security Solution comes pre-loaded on the Galaxy XCover 5. The company says that the defense-grade security platform offered in it offers end-to-end encryption to the device.
Talking about the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy XCover has a 5.3-inch HD+ TFT display. The phone comes with a 2.0 GHz octa-core Exynos 80 processor. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. Talk about software, it runs on Android 11. To give power to the phone, 3000mAh removable battery has been provided. The battery supports 15-watts fast charging. The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 are 147.1×71.6×9.2 millimeters. The phone has a 16-megapixel rear camera with aperture F/1.8 for photography. At the same time, there is a 5-megapixel front camera with aperture F/2.2 for selfie. The handset comes in dual-sim/single-sim variant. Face unlock feature is available for biometric authentication in the phone. Apart from this, NFC also supports this phone.
