The Mi 10T series from Xiaomi is now picking up a new software upgrade. Both the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro, launched in India last year, have started receiving the Android 11 based MIUI 12 update after originally shipping with Android 10 based MIUI 12. The rollout aims to improve everyday performance and add several new system features.
What is new in the Mi 10T series MIUI 12 update
Xiaomi says the update makes the phones better than before, with noticeable changes in performance and overall optimization. The stable beta build carries the version number V12.1.1.0.RJDINXM.
According to the company, the update brings a handful of user-facing additions:
- Chat bubbles for messaging
- New permission settings
- A control menu for connected devices
- General performance optimization
For now the build is reaching only some users, and there is no word yet on when it will roll out to everyone. These devices are part of Xiaomi lineup that remains popular in the market.
Mi 10T Pro specifications and camera
The Mi 10T Pro runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box and supports dual SIM. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD Plus display with a 1080x2400 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood it uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
On the back, the Mi 10T Pro carries a triple camera setup led by a 108-megapixel main lens with optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens.

The standard Mi 10T also ships with Android 10 based MIUI 12. It shares the 6.67-inch Full HD Plus display with a 144Hz refresh rate and the Snapdragon 865 processor with 8GB of RAM, but storage tops out at 128GB.
Its triple rear camera is built around a 64-megapixel main lens, paired with a 13-megapixel secondary lens and a 4-megapixel macro lens. A 20-megapixel front camera handles selfies.
