Panasonic India has launched a new Panasonic Nanoe X range of air conditioners built around Nanoe X technology, which the company says helps prevent coronaviruses. According to Panasonic, the technology releases hydroxyl radicals found in water - often called nature's detergents - that eliminate 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, including the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
What the Panasonic Nanoe X ACs offer
The new lineup belongs to the five-star inverter HU Series and is designed for cleaner indoor air at a time when pollution and virus concerns have made buyers more cautious. Panasonic positions these models as a direct response to those health worries.
The ACs use Panasonic Nanoe X and Nanoe-G technologies, which the company says deliver safe and healthy indoor air quality. Each unit also includes MirAIe, Panasonic's AI and IoT platform, for connected living.

Certification and what Nanoe X actually does
Panasonic says its Nanoe X air conditioners and Nanoe X devices were tested and certified to prevent the novel coronavirus at the Texel Laboratory in France. The certification covers the units in this new HU Series.
One point matters for buyers. Panasonic notes that Nanoe X technology helps stop the virus from growing, but it does not prevent infection. The ACs are an air-quality measure, not a substitute for normal precautions, so users should keep taking the usual care.
