A new Nokia phone, codenamed Cable, has surfaced on Geekbench, giving the first look at what HMD Global is preparing next. The benchmark listing, which appears as HMD Global Cable, points to a budget-focused handset running Android 10 with a Qualcomm chip and 2 GB of RAM. It is an early but telling glimpse at where HMD is heading with its entry-level lineup.
What the new Nokia phone Geekbench listing reveals
The listing was spotted by Nokiamob and was uploaded on 16 October this year. It shows the device powered by an ARM Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.30 GHz, though the exact processor name was not mentioned.
On performance, the Cable scored 100 in the single-core test and 280 in the multi-core test. Those numbers are modest, but according to reports, the new Nokia phone still rates better than the Nokia C1.
