HMD introduces Arc smartphone with 5000mAh battery, 4GB RAM and 13MP camera for those with tight budget!
HMD Global has quietly launched its new smartphone HMD Arc. The company has listed the phone on its Thailand website, where all its specifications have also been revealed. HMD Arc has an HD+ LCD display, which supports 60Hz refresh rate. It includes a teardrop-style notch. The phone gets a Unisoc chipset. It has a 5000mAh battery, which supports only 10W charging as opposed to the fast charging output that is trending nowadays. The phone has a 13MP dual rear camera setup.
HMD has not yet revealed the price or availability of the Arc on the product listing. However, all the features are revealed on the specifications sheet. Looking at the specifications, it seems that this smartphone can be launched in the budget price range.
HMD Arc runs on Android 14 (Go edition). It gets a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display, which supports 60Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display includes a teardrop-style notch for the front camera. The pictures show that the Arc has large bezels and chin similar to most smartphones available in the budget market.
The HMD Arc comes equipped with a Unisoc 9863A chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Storage can be expanded via microSD card. It has a dual rear camera setup, which includes another sensor along with a 13-megapixel primary sensor. There is a 5-megapixel shooter on the front.
The HMD smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery, but the charging output is 10W. The phone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is rated IP52/IP54 for dust and water protection. The company says that users will get security updates for two years.
