The First Descendant: Samsung introduced the world’s first HDR10+ gaming standard title, know its specialty.

Samsung on Monday announced the release of “The First Descendant”, the first game with the HDR10+ gaming standard. The company had made a preliminary announcement about this two years ago in October 2021. Samsung said in a blogpost that the game is The First Descendant, a free-to-play third-person shooter from Nexon. The company is going to release this game for the open beta version from 19th September.

More than 7,000 devices will be supported

Samsung said that “The First Descendant” will be the first gaming title to fully take advantage of the HDR10+ gaming standard. It promises the most responsive, accurate and frictionless HDR gaming experience ever. The company said that the HDR10+ ecosystem now consists of 155 partners and more than 7,000 certified devices, including TVs, monitors, projectors, smartphones, tablets and set-top boxes.

The company is going to officially present it at Gamescom 2023 later this month. Samsung hasn’t clarified in its announcement on which platforms the game will support HDR10+ gaming. The company says that with the game, gamers around the world will be able to get the direct experience of more realistic HDR game play.

HDR10+ gaming experience will be great

Samsung said, HDR10+ gaming technology provides gamers with the best HDR game experience through deep color, contrast and brightness. It is also capable of showing more details in dark shadows and bright highlights, allowing users to fully engage in their gaming adventures, the company said.

HDR10+ supports gaming optimized gaming experience, which is equipped with many manual settings. It improves the gaming experience with the help of variable refresh rate with near instant response and low-latency. In addition, the standard provides developers with the tools to maintain a consistent and reliable HDR gaming experience across all HDR10+ gaming displays.
