Vivo S16 Series launched, with 120Hz AMOLED display like Google Pixel.
new Delhi. Vivo has recently updated its S series. The company recently launched the Vivo S16 series in China. The lineup includes three devices S16, S16 Pro and S16e. This is the successor of Vivo S15 series. It has been upgraded with new design and better features.
The Vivo S16 series features a compact form factor and a rectangular camera module on the back panel. The three devices get an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a fingerprint scanner. The Vivo S16 series has been introduced in Hyacinth Purple, Sea Foam Green, and Starry Night Black colours. The pre-sale of all the three smartphones has started from today.
Vivo S16 series price
Vivo S16e starts at RMB 2,099 (~$300) for the 8GB + 128GB option. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at RMB 2,299 (~$329) and RMB 2,499 (~$358), respectively. The S16 is priced at RMB 2,499 (~$358), RMB 2,699 (~$386), and RMB 2,999 (~$429) for the same RAM and storage configurations. There is also a 12GB + 512GB option priced at RMB 3,299 (~$472). The S16 Pro starts at RMB 3,299 (~$472) for the 12GB + 256GB variant and costs RMB 3,599 (~$515) for the 12GB + 512GB configuration.
The S16 sports a flat 6.62-inch screen while the S16 and S16 Pro come with 6.78-inch displays with curved edges. There is a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout on all three devices.

Talking about camera features, Vivo S16e has 50MP primary sensor, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth snapper. The phone also has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. The camera setup on the S16 includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro unit. On the other hand, the Pro model comes with a 50MP primary lens with OIS support, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro unit. There is a 50MP selfie snapper in the regular and Pro models.
Under the hood, the Vivo S16e is equipped with Exynos 1080 SoC processor. Whereas, S16 and S16 Pro have Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets. All three devices come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. The S16 series packs a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Talking about the software, the smartphones work on OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13.
