Moto G42 has been launched in India today. The new smartphone is Motorola’s latest model in the budget segment. It is also the successor to the Moto G41. The phone has an IP52-rated water-repellent rating, which protects the phone from water damage. Moto G42 comes with 20: 9 aspect ratio AMOLED display and triple rear cameras. The smartphone also runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and includes 20W fast charging. Moto G42 will compete with Redmi Note 11, Realme 9i and Poco M4 Pro.

The Moto G42 price in India is Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. Atlantic Green and Metallic Rose color options are available in the phone. Apart from Flipkart, the sale of this phone will start at select retail stores in the country from July 11.
There is a discount of Rs 1,000 on the launch offer on the Moto G42. Which will be available on payment by SBI card.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G42 runs Android 12 and sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 60Hz refresh rate.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC, coupled with Adreno 610 GPU and 4GB LPDDR4x RAM.
It comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and depth shooter as well as a 2-megapixel macro shooter.
For selfies and video chats, the Moto G42 comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front, coupled with an f/2.2 lens.
The Moto G42 packs dual stereo speakers and includes support for Dolby Automos.
The Moto G42 packs 64GB of onboard uMCP storage which is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
Connectivity options on the Moto G42 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer and a proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
