Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic launched
Samsung has launched its two new smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic at its Galaxy Unpacked event. Earbuds and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones have also been launched in this event. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic come with pre-loaded sports modes. Apart from this, both the watches have got IP68 rating for water resistant. Both of these are Samsung’s first smartwatches with the new Wear OS developed in partnership with Google and Samsung. The new OS will be available with One UI Watch.
Price of Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
The starting price of Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is $249.99 i.e. around Rs 18,600. This price is for the Bluetooth variant, while the starting price of the LTE model is $299.99 i.e. around Rs 22,300. The Bluetooth variant of Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic costs $349.99 i.e. around Rs 26,000 and the cost of LTE variant is $399.99 i.e. around Rs 29,700.
Features of Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have One UI Watch 3 OS which is based on Google’s new Wear OS. The Galaxy Watch 4 40mm and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm both have 1.2-inch AMOLED displays. Whereas the Galaxy Watch 4 44mm and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm have a 1.4-inch display. The display of both the watches is protected by Gorilla Glass DX. The watch has Exynos W920 processor, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage.
Both the watches have Samsung’s BioActive sensor with support for optical heart rate sensor, Bioelectrical Evidence Analysis Sensor (BIA). The watch also comes with SpO2 tracking and sleep analysis. Apart from this, the watch also has support for fall detection and ECG. Both the watches are medically certified for health features. For connectivity, there is support for 4G LTE, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS /Glonass /BeiDou /Galileo and NFC. The Galaxy Watch 4 40mm and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm packs a 247mAh battery, while the Galaxy Watch 4 44mm and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm packs a 361mAh battery.
