Beta version will be released in April
According to Google’s official timeline, the new Android will be followed by a developer preview with the first beta release in April, followed by three more releases in the following months. Let us tell you that the Credential Manager in Android 14 is a platform API, and it allows apps to sign in using passkeys. This feature has been tweaked and UI styling improved based on feedback from Developer Preview-1.
Changes will be available in background app running
With Android 14, a lot of changes are also being made in background app running. The second developer preview will focus on optimization of Android’s memory management system. At the same time, the use of other resources is being improved during background app running. Android 14 is going to get fewer notifications than before. Along with this, the API of the App Store will also be improved.
Pixel phones will get the update first.
