Apple iPad beat Samsung, know whose share was

New Delhi. In the last two years, tablet shipments have seen a pretty decent growth. Especially in Q4 2020, growth was accelerated due to the global pandemic. However, the demand for tablets showed a decline in Q4 2021 which continued into Q1 2022 as well. According to a report by IDC recently, overall tablet shipments in Q1 2022 fell by 3.9 percent year-on-year. It had total shipments of 38.4 million units.

The report suggests that the drop in shipments is due to lower demand for tablets as users continue to stick to their old devices and are not buying new devices. According to IDC, in Q1 2021, a total of 52.2 million units were shipped. According to the report, the demand still remains higher than the level of the pre-pandemic. But the development is showing little. With this it would not be wrong to say that the market is once again returning to the same position.

AnoogaNatraj, Senior Research Analyst, IDC said, “While the tablet market is going down right now as there is no demand for tablets in the market, at the same time it is interesting to see new players entering the market with the latest tablets. These especially include Realme, OPPO, Xiaomi etc.
