Twitter user Gaurav Gulati has claimed that his Nord 2 smartphone caught fire and later exploded.
A Twitter user has also shared some pictures of the smartphone. According to the report, Gaurav Gulati told that the phone was in his black robe at the time of the accident. Suddenly he felt something warm in his pocket. Gulati told that soon after this he took off his robe and threw it. Smoke was coming out of the device at that time. Shortly thereafter the device caught fire and an explosion occurred.
Fire in OnePlus Nord 2
The victim has told that the device was not engaged in charging at the time of the incident. According to the report, the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone was 90 percent charged at the time of the accident and was not in use. The victim informed about the incident on Twitter, after which OnePlus contacted him. The company asked the victim to deposit the device, but Gulati decided to take the legal route. Gulati said that he will proceed with the matter legally and will file an official police complaint against OnePlus India and submit the device to the police. The victim is a lawyer by profession and has also filed a complaint against the brand in the consumer court. According to the report, the victims have also suffered injuries in the accident. The victim says that OnePlus India had contacted him through Twitter after sharing the photos of the accident. According to the victim, the company had also asked to pay the damages, but the victim refused.
