After Gulati posted photographs of the damaged device on Twitter, OnePlus India reached out to him directly. The company reportedly asked the victim to deposit the device with them and indicated a willingness to pay damages. However, Gulati refused both offers.
Gulati, who is a lawyer by profession, has decided to pursue the matter through official legal channels instead. He announced plans to file a formal police complaint against OnePlus India and submit the device to the police as evidence. He has also already filed a complaint against the brand in the consumer court. The victims reportedly sustained injuries in the accident as well.
