These Nokia smartphones will soon get Android 11 update, see full list
New Delhi : HMD Global has announced a new roadmap for the Android 11 update for select handsets. The company has said that an update will be released for these phones in the third quarter of this year. According to a post by the company’s community forum, the Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 3.2 have received the latest Android update in the first quarter. According to the information, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.3 will get updates in the first and second quarter.
In the second quarter of the year, HMD Global will roll out Android 11 update for Nokia 3.4, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 5.4, Nokia 1.4, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 2.4. Updates to Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 9 preview will be released in the third quarter.
According to GSMArena’s report, HMD Global announced a similar Android 11 update roadmap last year as well. The company confirmed that at least 15 Nokia handsets will receive an update in the fourth quarter of 2020 and the second quarter of 2021.
Out of the 15 handsets whose name was confirmed by the company, 7 phones have already received the update. According to the report, there has been a delay in issuing updates for the remaining phones. The new Android 11 roadmap indicates that Nokia smartphone users will have to make more arrangements for the update now.
Apart from this, there are reports that HMD Global is also doing a new X-series handset. This smartphone coming from the name of X50 can be launched this year. Unlike the X10 and X20, the Nokia X50 may fall in the premium segment. According to reports, the Nokia X50 will have a 108-megapixel rear camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 processor. The phone can be given a QHD + display, 120Hz refresh rate display and 6000mAh battery.
