Samsung launches country’s first ‘smart’ washing machine, Google and Alexa also have support
Samsung has launched India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled washing machine, which has both Hindi and English user interfaces. This line-up of fully automatic front load washing machines is designed solely for India and is part of Samsung’s vision of empowering Digital India. In this, Samsung’s special technology is EcoBubble and QuickDrive technology, which helps to save 45% extra fabric care as well as save time and electricity.
All new models incorporate Hygiene Steam technology to ensure high standards of washing and hygiene, capable of removing dust particles trapped in clothing and eliminating 99.9 percent of bacteria and allergens.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is supported in all twenty-one new models. The AI understands and remembers the user’s washing habits and recommends the most frequently used washing cycle. This Smart Internet of Things (IoT) enabled washing machine line-up can be paired with Galaxy smartphones, Samsung Smart TVs and Family Hub refrigerators as well as devices such as Alexa and Google Home, allowing users to have a naturally connected life.
The laundry planner of the washing machine enables the users to decide the time to finish the washing, while the laundry recipe automatically tells the users the information such as the color, type of fabric and the amount of dirt.
This entire range has a 5-star energy rating from BEE. Digital inverter technology ensures washing machines consume less power and make less noise. These new models also come with Samsung’s own EcoBubble technology that quickly penetrates into the fabric fibers and removes dust particles from the pedestal, giving clothing 45% more care.
Sales of this new AI support washing machine from Samsung have started from all retail and online stores. Its starting price is Rs 35,400.
