Samsung has launched a new program, which will be known as Galaxy Upcycling at Home program. Under this program, the old Galaxy smartphone can be used again at home. This means that the old Galaxy smartphone can be converted into the essential home appliances of the home. The South Korean company launched its new program on Monday at the CES 2021 virtual event. Under the new program, software updates will also be given to older Galaxy smartphones. Also, they can be converted into childcare tools. The Galaxy Upcycling at Home program has been launched with the aim of redesigning the useless Galaxy devices at home. Also, a bad Galaxy device can be used again.
No trade-in discount
Samsung made it clear that this is not a trade-in discount available on the new device. Under this program, customers will be given the option that what type of home appliances they want to convert their device into. Samsung said that with the help of the old device’s build-in sensor, childcare tool can be developed, which will become active on your child’s voice. Meaning if your child wakes up, he will alert you. In addition, the company has developed a pet animal solution from the old Galaxy phones, which will act like a long-distance remote.
Will get a software update
Currently, more galaxy smartphones come with Samsung’s military-grade protections Knox framework, which can be used in home security. Samsung has announced software updates in Galaxy phones this year. However, no concrete information has been given to the software update as to when the company will update the software. Also, the company will develop QLED, UHD TV, monitor and audio products for reuse.
