Oppo Reno 5 launch, 8 GB RAM and 50 watt fast charging support included

Oppo Reno 5 has been launched in Vietnam, which was also launched in China earlier this month. The new smartphone has some similarities with the Oppo Reno 5 5G and comes with a hole-punch display design. However, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset that does not include support for 5G networks. The Oppo Reno 5 includes 50W fast charging support compared to the 65W fast charge support available on other Reno 5 models.

Oppo Reno 5 price, availability details

The Oppo Reno 5 is priced at VND 8,690,000 (about Rs 27,400), with a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in Mysterious Black and Silver color options. It is currently limited to Vietnam, with no information shared on its global launch.

Earlier this month, the Oppo Reno 5 5G and Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G were introduced in China with a price tag of 2,699 Chinese yuan (about Rs. 30,200) and 3,399 Chinese yuan (about Rs. 38,000) respectively.

Oppo Reno 5 specifications

Dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo Reno 5 works on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1. It has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display, which includes 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and 410 PPI pixel density. Apart from this, this phone is equipped with Snapdragon 720G processor, which is paired with 8GB RAM.

For photography, the Oppo Reno 5 has a quad rear camera setup, whose primary camera is 64 megapixels, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor and 2-megapixel monochrome lens. It has a 44-megapixel camera for selfie and video calling.

Oppo Reno 5 has 128GB of storage, which has the option to increase. For connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port for charging. The phone has a battery of 4,310mAh, with which 50 W fast charging support will be provided. Talking about sensors, it includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer and a proximity sensor. Apart from this, this phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of Oppo Reno 5 are 159.1×73.3×7.7 mm and weigh 171 grams.
