Samsung’s two gaming monitors launched in India, 240Hz refresh rate
Electronics brand Samsung has introduced a new range of its curved Odyssey G9 and G7 gaming monitors in India. Displayed at CES 2020, these monitors will redefine the gaming experience by providing comfortably curvature, immersive interaction, and perfect picture quality. Two models in the new range of gaming monitors are available in the G9 industry-leading 49-inch display and G7 in 32-inch and 27-inch. Both Odyssey Gaming monitors are designed to take immersive gaming to the next level. Pre-booking of both has started.
Odyssey monitors are the world’s first 1000R gaming monitors, which means that it has a 1,000-millimeter curvature radius that reduces eye strain. Odyssey monitors have been certified by the international certification organization TÜV Rheinland. It has given Samsung the industry’s first high-performance 1000R Curved Display and Eye Comfort Certificate. Odyssey monitors offer a 1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate, which displays up to four times more frames per second than a conventional screen. The Odyssey monitor is the world’s first dual-quad high-definition (DQHD) monitor with crystal clear QLED picture quality, providing incredibly detailed, pin-sharp images for an immersive gaming experience.
Samsung’s newest gaming monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and adaptive sync on DP1.4, which ensures that the Odyssey monitor matches each frame of the graphics card, so that gamers never miss any frame. On the design front, both monitors have been designed in a completely new way to resemble gaming monitors.
Odyssey G9: More immersive gaming experience
The 49-inch G9 is the world’s first dual-quad high-definition (DQHD; 5120 × 1440 resolution), gaming monitor, with a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 32:9 aspect ratio, darker and immersive 1000R curvature and a peak of 1000 cd/m2. There are features like brightness. The monitor uses quantum dot technology with the HDR1000 VA panel. A mix of quick response time and refresh rate with the industry-leading 1000R curve eliminates interruptions and lag time, providing ultra-smooth screen transitions for critical gaming moments, where instant interruptions will mean wins and losses.
Odyssey G7: Brand New Gaming Experience
Like the G9, the G7 also offers quick response time and refresh rate, deep curved display, and overall performance in smaller 32-inch and 27-inch models. The G7’s quad-high definition (2560×1440 resolution), 16:9 aspect ratio and HDR600 VA panel come with 600 cd/m2 peak brightness. In addition, the QLED screen with G7’s quantum dot technology offers an exceptionally wide range of precise color reproduction, which remains crisp and clear even in bright light.

Samsung’s Odyssey G9 49-inch and G7 32 inch and 27-inch models will be available for pre-booking in India from November 25 to December 31, 2020, with special gift offers.
